History

It was built in the 1970s and was used until 1998 (12 years after the Chernobyl disaster); during those 12 years the swimming pool was mainly used by the liquidators. The swimming pool is considered one of the cleanest places of Pripyat. Currently, the swimming pool and the adjacent indoor basketball court are abandoned.
